This leaves a small 1/2-inch gap between the drawers and doors. 1/2 cabinet overlay cabinets are the traditional choice for many home renovation projects. It's also the most cost-effective cabinet door style available.
The two inches of the exposed frame between the cabinets complement vintage and traditional home designs. However, the style is also versatile and can complement various kitchen designs.
With ½ overlay cabinets, you have more flexibility with the knobs and door handles you choose to use. A ½ cabinet overlay can accommodate door handles or a beveled grip. Other overlays don't provide this same level of hardware flexibility.
